How the structures differ
Single jersey is a single-knit fabric with a smooth face and a different reverse. Interlock is a double-knit structure with a more balanced construction and a similar appearance on both sides.
What that means for a garment
Single jersey is widely used for T-shirts and lightweight everyday apparel. Interlock is often selected for smooth, more substantial basics, babywear and underwear. These are typical uses, not fixed rules: yarn, composition, weight and finishing can change the result.
Compare the full specification
Check weight, width, opacity, stretch, recovery and wash performance. Compare samples in the intended colour and finish rather than choosing on structure alone.
