1. Start with the end use
Describe the garment, intended customer, season and desired feel. A reference fabric or garment can make expectations easier to discuss.
2. Define the material
Include structure, fibre composition, target GSM, usable width and stretch. If a detail is still open, explain the result you want rather than guessing a specification.
3. Set colour and finishing requirements
Share colour references, artwork and finishing expectations. Clarify which sample approvals you need before bulk production.
4. Include quality requirements
State shrinkage, fastness, pilling or other testing expectations. If your buyer requires certification or third-party documentation, specify it before ordering.
5. Explain the order and destination
Give estimated quantities by colour, sampling needs, delivery destination and target date. Ask for MOQ, lead time, packing and delivery terms in the quotation.
